Business to Consumer (B2C)

Amazon


Amazon is the "world's largest online retailer" which originally began as an online bookselling company. It has a wide range of products and inventory that the customers would use to buy all kinds of products such as clothes, makeup, jewelry, toiletries, kitchen wares, electronics, books and etc. (Yasar, 2022). It is the "iconic " example of an e-commerce (Hall, 2023).

Business to Business (B2B)

Alibaba

Alibaba is a globally used e-commerce B2B website with B2B followers between 50 to 100 employees that were equally divided between manufacturers and trading companies (Wulf, 2010). 

Consumer to Consumer (C2C)

eBay

According to Dimancea (2016), since eBay's release in 1995,  about 147 million people have have been actively using it until today. It is estimated that about 430 000 million people in the United States have been making a living by doing transactions on eBay. Their philosophy is that any virtual products can be traded through using eBay. It was founded in the year 1995 and in 1996, they have joined together with Electronic Travel Auction to sell traveling products to the customers (Dimancea, 2016).

Shutterstock (2003) is a global website that provides "licensed" images, videos and music, inspiring many developers, graphic designers, directors, editors and professionals around the world by giving out content to businesses, media and marketing agencies. The creators would publish their content in Shutterstock where other users would view and buy them for all kinds of business projects (What is Shutterstock?, 2003).

Heathrow Airport is currently owned by Heathrow Airport Holdings Limited, which is a a company owned by FGP Topco Limited led by the specialist Ferrovial S.A, Qatar Investment Authority, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), GIC, Australian Retirement Trust, China Investment Corporation and Universities Superannuation Scheme (About Heathrow, 1929).
